In a clear and sunny morning, part of the group summited yersterday! They made the push from High Camp (or White Rocks), at 19600 ft, to the top. The summit of Aconcagua, at 22.834 ft, is the highest point in the world outside of the Himalayas. The place has an awesome view, of the sea of smaller peaks around and of the imposing South Face. I don not have the information of who summited yet. But we are all proud that the expeditions succedeed, in a tough season (cold and windy). I will post more news soon! This is a picture of the summit ridge, from a previous trip.
Regards, Nicolás
