Denali - West Butress | Ice Climbing - Valdez


DENALI - WEST BUTRESS

April 29, May 6, 20, 27, June 10, 17 & 24

DURATION OF TRIP: 21 days
COST OF TRIP: $4500
DEPOSIT DUE TO RESERVE A POSITION: $1000
BALANCE AMOUNT: $3500
DATE BALANCE DUE: 60 days before departure.


COST INCLUDES
Professional Mountain Guides, land transportation between Anchorage and Talkeetna, round-trip flight between base camp and Talkeetna, all expedition food, all community gear (sleds, tents, stoves, cooking gear, medical kit, radio, etc.), and Denali permit fee.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Flights to Anchorage, meals in town, personal equipment, passport, personal items and services (laundry, drinks, tips, etc.)

NOTE: Aventuras Patagonicas works on Denali with Mountain Trip, an official NPS Concessionaire.

TRIP ITINERARY

DAY 1: Meet in Anchorage. Equipment check and afternoon briefing at the hotel.
DAY 2: Drive to Talkeetna, register with National Park Service and fly to Kahiltna Base Camp.
DAY 3: Orientation day. Carry a load to 8000’, Camp1
DAY 4: Move to Camp1.
DAY 5: Carry a load to 10,000’
DAY 6: Move to 11,000’ Camp 2
DAY 7: Retrieve cache at 10,000’
DAY 8: Carry a load to 13,500’
DAY 9: Move to 14,000’, Camp 3
DAY 10: Retrieve cache at 13,500’
DAY 11: Rest day
DAY 12: Carry a load to 16,200’
DAY 13: Rest day at 14,000
DAY 14: Move to 17, 200’, our High Camp.
DAY 15-
18 :
Summit! Weather permitting. Several days are planned for summiting in case of poor weather
DAY 19: Descent to Base Camp.
DAY 20: Fly back to Talkeetna. Celebration dinner.

NOTE
This itinerary is intended to be a guideline only, weather days and rest days are always a possibility while on a climbing trip.
